Ever heard of this chakra healing technique?

Most people who go exploring various healing methods throughout their spiritual journeys come across reiki as a way to [balance/realign/heal] the chakras, the seven energy centers in your body.

By now you probably understand the importance of keeping your chakras aligned or balanced and healthy.

Unbalanced chakras can cause trouble in various areas of our lives if left unchecked. Blocked chakras can prevent us from receiving the things we desire.

For example, a blocked throat chakra might stop you from speaking up for what you want (like a raise at work). Because subconsciously, you might not feel worthy of it.

But healing and balancing your chakras can help you bring more balance and calmness to your world.

If you’ve tried reiki (or even if you haven’t) and you want to try an alternative method from ancient Egypt, here’s what you need to know about Sekhem.

What is Sekhem?

The word “sekhem” means “Power of Powers” and is specifically used for healing and spiritual development.

Sekhem is an ancient Egyptian energy healing technique that’s used to help heal you on all levels — physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. This can help us make improvements in our everyday lives, especially when it comes to personal development and raising our vibrations.

Raising your vibration can help you manifest your desires a lot faster.

Sekhem has been developed over the centuries and was typically taught as part of the spiritual practices in the Temples of Ancient Egypt.

It’s well-known that Egypt was the culture center of the world in ancient times, but not many were allowed entry into the Priesthood.

The teachings would be edited, more information was added, and the philosophies were changed and built upon as time went on.

The Sekhem energy is associated with the Egyptian lion-headed Goddess Sekhmet, who was said to be the Guardian and Protector of this energy. She’s also tied to the star Sirius, which is the brightest star in the sky and was supposedly there at the creation of our present universe.

The Goddess Sekhmet destroys anything that doesn’t serve her anymore. She has to get rid of the old to make room for the new. She’s said to help people in transforming their lives and breaking old, destructive patterns that don’t serve us.

How Does Sekhem work?

Positive Health.com describes it as something that “works to harmonize and balance all aspects of a person’s being — physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, thus supporting the bodies’ own natural healing processes. It’s said to work at a cellular level to help release blockages and ease emotional and spiritual distress.

In Sekhem healing, energy passes through the healer and into the patient’s energy field and body through the hands. This technique has been used for centuries to heal people and help improve people’s health.

Everything in life is energy. If you can learn to manipulate that energy to your advantage, you’ll have a much easier life.

During treatment, the practitioner may place their hands on different parts of your body and transfer energy to your body from theirs. You might experience warm, tingling sensations as the energy flows through your body.

Reasons to Try Sekhem

According to Reiki Master, Sekhem & Sound Healing Practitioner, Jaha Browne, there are a few reasons to try Sekhem, including:

  • Helps empower the healer within
  • Allows you to speak your truth
  • Gives you time out to be still (quiet your mind and calm your body)
  • Allows you to take responsibility to grow and do whatever work you need to do (i.e., shadow work)

Other benefits include:

  • Heal from past relationships
  • Progress on your spiritual evolution

Sekhem is a great alternative to Reiki that might work even better for you.
